Over the years, old timber-beam ceilings have often undergone gradual »creep« and »shrinkage« – the timber beams are sagging in the middle, or the entire timber supporting system is now skew at room level. The use of the Timber-Concrete Composite system (TCC) makes it possible to ensure long-term reversal of this deformation. If there is major deformation, it is essential that the supports of the timber beams at their end are checked, as it is essential to prevent any lifting of the beams off their supports. As a rule, the deformation is reversed by bracing. The Timber-Concrete Composite (TCC) ensures that the repositioned floor remains in the restored position durably.
