Making sure that any markings and the concrete stay where they are

Before it is possible to start with the making of the shear bolt positions, coarse rubble must be cleared from the shuttering, which must be swept clean afterwards. Joints in the vicinity of openings, in walls, parapets or access stairs must be sealed on site by means of structural foam to ensure that no concrete, and especially no surface laitance can escape.
