TCC Norms
In addition to EC 5 »Design and construction of timber structures«, the HBV shall be standardised. In preparation for this, several research institutions in Europe are currently working on a technical specification.

When we say concrete, we do not mean any concrete!
According to the approval by the building supervisory authority, locally poured concrete must offer a minimum quality grade of C 20/25 with maximum grain size 16. However, some of our customers wish to implement the further floor structure directly on the concrete as poured. Jointly with Cemex and BASF we have developed a special concrete recipe which is matched exactly to our composite structure. This mix is easy to compact and levels mostly self-levelling, offers low shrinkage and high vibration and cracking resistance. We offer this concrete product under the trade name »Elascon Floor C 25/30, F 6,5 LVB« whenever the floor is to be installed directly on the concrete without the need for further levelling.
For smoothing, we offer our patented, pre-coated cardboard template which avoid the need for elaborate shuttering. May we suggest that the surveyor ensures that the so-called ‘pass markers’ are in place when the concrete is poured so as to ensure the exact concrete level.
