The timber beam layout plan records the position, dimensions, pitch and span of the supporting timber beams. The timber beam plan is the point of departure for the static calculation.
The elevation plan records the height over the lengths of the timber beams. Recording deformations in the supporting structure becomes important later, when the concrete slab is made, since it may become necessary to partially re-set sagging beams and to standardise the levels.
