Site preparation

Before any implementation work on the project can be started, it is essential that all preliminary work and, where appropriate, any necessary timber conservation and refurbishment work has been completed.  All beam ends must be intact, and all jack rafters must have been connected to the appropriate main girder. It is also necessary to ensure that any formwork is free of any gaps, sits squarely  on the beams and has been attached in such a way that it is possible to set the shear connectors.
