Fire resistance standards for timbered ceilings

Fire  resistance standards for timbered ceilings

According to the previous DIN 4102, components of building structures are classified as having a fire resistance class F30, F60, F90, or F120.

Naturally, the composite structure produces a massive increase in the load bearing strength. In addition to the application of the Eurocode, Elascon GmbH has carried out fire resistance tests on a large number of historical building ceiling structures jointly with a well known manufacturer of plasterboard products. The object was to obtain exact information about the fire resistance of all structural elements. On the basis of these numerous "live" fire tests we are able to prepare Expert Opinions and Test Certificates  covering specific parts of your construction project. This service is chargeable.
